Connect 5 has been developed to give all frontline staff the confidence in having more effective conversations about mental health and wellbeing, enabling them to support others to live well mentally, better manage their mental health, increase their resilience and ultimately improve wellbeing. The techniques used by Connect 5 are underpinned by the Five Ways to Wellbeing and a cognitive behavioural model for understanding stress, distress and learning tools for self-management.

As part of the Primary Care Excellence Programme to support Health and Wellbeing across the primary care workforce this is a free training opportunity being offered to all primary care staff working in Greater Manchester, whether you work in optometry, dental services, community pharmacy or general practice.

The training is delivered virtually and there will be a range of dates available that we will circulate shortly so you will be able to book your preferred dates to make it as flexible as possible for you to attend. Each module is interactive and lasts 3 hours, with a certificate issued on completion.
