Cancer awareness saves lives. Every year thousands of people are diagnosed with Cancer. We know that the earlier a cancer is detected, the better the outcome for the people involved. Early detection saves lives. Cancer screening saves lives. Why not top up your knowledge and confidence so that you can help yourself, your family members, community leaders and staff.
NEW - Train the Facilitator – Training for Answer Cancer Champions
This is Answer Cancer’s new, exciting course which focuses on growing your facilitation skills, knowledge, and confidence. You will pick up lots of ideas and training tips so that you can run cancer awareness session back in your own work or community.
These are fun and interactive sessions which cover a range of presentation and facilitation techniques.
Answer Cancer will be running 2 separate courses. Each course will run for 2 half-days over 2 consecutive weeks. You will need to attend both half-day sessions to secure your place. There will be a little bit of home study which involves reflecting on your learning. This course is aimed at people who have previously completed at least one other Answer Cancer training course.

Answer Cancer Facts & Myths
.+-This 90 mins session will increase your understanding of the importance of seeking out factual evidence-based information regarding cancer. The session highlights some of the most popular myths about cancer and replaces them with facts. Fun and informative.

Answer Cancer Signs & Symptoms
This 90 mins short session will equip you with knowledge around early signs & symptoms of cancer. You’ll understand why and how early detection saves lives and learn key messages to share with others. The session will also share information about on the importance of accessing your GP during the Covid-19 situation.

NHS Cancer Screening Programmes
This 90 mins session will super charge your knowledge and understanding of the 3 NHS Cancer Screening Programmes and why they are so important. You will learn who’s eligible, what’s involved, and what messages and approaches we can use to encourage others to take up their screening invite.
