The NHSE Oriel system is now open for pharmacy contractors wishing to recruit a trainee pharmacist for 2025/26
From 2025/26 the only route into training will be via the NHSE Oriel system. Recruitment timelines mean that anyone wishing to employ a trainee pharmacist in 2025/26 must now register with the Oriel system. Employers who have previously used Oriel were sent comms this week. If you are using Oriel for the first time in 2025/26 registration and further information can be found on the NHSE pharmacy recruitment website.
The NW LPCs will be hosting a webinar on Thursday 8th Feb at 7.30 pm to provide an update on the changes and some practical advice on how to approach your Oriel advert with guest speakers from NHS NW School of Pharmacy & Medicines Optimisation and Propharmace.
As part of registering for Oriel you will need to declare that you will have access to a prescribing environment and designated prescribing practitioner for your trainee(s) in 2025/26. More information and advice will be provided on the webinar on the 8th February 2024.
