Oral health is the mandatory pharmacy campaign for May-June 2019 so this workshop is ideally timed. It brings pharmacy and dental teams together to focus on promoting all aspects of oral health, including how to prevent tooth decay in under-fives and self-checking to identify early stages of oral cancers. Medication is also on the agenda, with prescribing updates and common side-effects of anticholinergic medication.

 It’s set to be a great event, with lots of interaction and opportunity for pharmacy and dental teams to share their learning. You’ll also get tips and ideas on:

·         How to engage and promote the oral health campaign;

·         Raise awareness of disease and prevalence rate of mouth cancer in Greater Manchester; and

·         The importance of checking our own mouths regularly and of going to the dentist.

 There are two opportunities to attend. Both events run from 6.30pm-9.30pm. Registration & buffet: 6.30pm. Training: 7pm-9.30pm.
