Key speaker: Raj Patel, Chair of the UK FMD Working Group for Community Pharmacy
This is a unique opportunity to learn, understand and prepare your action plan to comply with the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD), the new NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit, and to achieve your Quality Payments. The event is open to all Greater Manchester community pharmacy contractors and is designed to simplify all the noise and bring you the essential information. Due to diary and workload pressure, we can only run this event once – we hope you or a colleague can attend. Find out more & book your place.
What we’ll cover:
Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD)
FMD comes into effect on 9th February 2019, and it brings important changes and new requirements for community pharmacies. The new Europe-wide measures are designed to prevent the risk of fake / counterfeit medicines being supplied or dispensed. We’re delighted that Raj Patel – Chair of the UK FMD Working Group for Community Pharmacy – has agreed to be our key speaker. Raj will explain all about the new requirements and what they mean for pharmacies, including the IT implications and changes to pharmacy processes (e.g. having to check anti-tamper devices and scan medicines). Raj will also be happy to answer any questions you have.
Quality Payments
Find out all about the requirements for the next Quality Payments review date on 15th February 2019, including the changes from last time, common mistakes to avoid, deadlines to be aware of, and how to make sure you achieve your maximum potential points.
NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit
All pharmacies in England will need to complete the new NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit (which replaces the old IG Toolkit) by 31st March 2019 as part of their terms of service. Find out about the new requirements and what you’ll need to do to comply.
